it was a western. there were plenty of problematic portrayals of people of color. dialogue was stinted in favor of lancaster's (freakishly gleaming) teeth, but was often entertaining. too much discussion of unseen cautionary tale character, "ace". but some of the action shots were beautifully composed and followed through (good work, Mr. Laszlo).
